REGULATIONS FOR SUBMITTING WORK FOR EVALUATION:


1. Work can be presented in two formats: oral communication and poster.

2. Each participant should indicate the chosen format for their work. Under no circumstances will the work be used in a different format from that indicated by the author.

3. Independent of format, each participant can send a maximum of 02 (two) items as author and/or co-author.

4. Forwarding work for analysis will only be brought into effect following registration for the event by at least one of the authors/co-authors.

5. The author should only indicate one Thematic Work Group (GTT) to which he will submit his work for consideration.

6. Work will be evaluated in accordance with the following criteria: Suitability to the GTT theme; argumentative consistency; dialogue with literature and writing quality.

6. Work size:

6.1. Oral Communication: Minimum of 20,000 (twenty thousand) and maximum of 40,000 (forty thousand) characters, including the title, spaces, notes and references in this calculation.

6.2. Poster: Minimum of 10,000 (ten thousand) and maximum of 20,000 (twenty thousand) characters, including the title, spaces, notes and references in this calculation.

7. Registrations can be made at www.conbrace.org.br for any of the formats and work should give full consideration to the following requirements:

a) Registration on SOAC – CBCE Congress Support System by at least one author;

b) Complete the METADATA (author/co-authors’ name(s) with full address, e-mail, biographical summary (in which a Lattes address should be indicated), work title, abstract and key words in Portuguese, English and Spanish.

c) Send 2 files, which are:

1º) A complete text in Portuguese with the title, notes and references, without identifying the author. There is no need for abstracts and key words.

2º) In the “Complementary Document” item, send the complete text in Portuguese with the title, notes, references, abstracts in Portuguese, English and Spanish and key words (in the three languages), with author identification and indicate the address, e-mail and technological resource necessary for Oral Communication at the end.

b) Software for editing: Word 6.0 for Windows (or higher);

c) Page format: A4 paper with top, bottom and right margins of 2.5 cm and left of 3.0 cm;

d) Font: Times New Roman, size 12 with single-line spacing;

e) The complete text file, both for oral communication and poster should contain:

. A title in a high, centralized box;

. Abstracts in Portuguese, English and Spanish (obligatory), with each one containing a maximum of 100 (one hundred) words, in italics, inserted two line spaces under the title and with two line spaces between the abstracts.

9. Items to be considered when creating and presenting a poster:

a) Size: 100 cm (height) x 70 cm (width);

b) Content: title, author, institution, justification, objectives, methodology, results (if this is the case), conclusions (if this is the case) and references;

c) The poster should be attached and collected in accordance with guidance received from the event’s organization and at least one of the authors should remain together with the work for the whole session duration in order to be considered presented.

10. The organizing and scientific commissions will not be responsible for any consequential problems (including viruses) that prevent files from being opened.

Final observations:

a) Non-rigorous fulfilment of regulations for registering work will mean that it will not be considered by the scientific commission.

b) Work content, as well as the respective abstracts, will be the author(s)’ complete responsibility, as no kind of revision will be carried out by the event organization.

c) Texts should preferably follow the new grammatical agreement for the Portuguese language in force since 1st January, 2009.

d) Non-selection of work will not mean that a registration fee refund will be given.

e) Material accepted for presentation and/or publication will be used in its original format, or in other words, files that have been submitted cannot be substituted or modified at a later date.

f) The registration period for work will be from 1st to 31st March, 2009.

g) If the organization identifies that a third or further work has been sent by the same author/co-author, these will not be considered. The on-line registration system indicates the date and time that each piece of work has been sent.

h) Only work, which has been approved and effectively presented by one of its authors will be available in the event’s electronic archives.
